Since its inception in 1997, the program has created materials for residents that have been shared and applied to fire-prone regions throughout the country. It provides resources to homeowners, educators, community groups and firefighting professionals to improve defensible space, ensure homes have proper building materials, manage native and non-native vegetation and prepare for evacuation. Through community outreach events, peer-reviewed publications, social media and television and radio interviews, the program team brings the most up-to-date information on wildfire preparedness to Nevada residents and others across the country.

Counterintelligence Special Agent (Retired) CyberSecurity Consult / Computer Crimes Investigator Antonio A. Rucci is a retired Counterintelligence Special Agent and US Army Warrant Officer, with more than 41 years of technical security experience. Tony runs a private CyberSecurity and Incident Response Consulting practice in Loudon, TN performing Penetration Testing, Passive Network Assessments, and Incident Response Professional Services to both private government and commercial entities throughout the country. Tony ran technical espionage and computer crimes investigations for a good portion of his operational career.
